Patience Key for Mets in Free Agent Market
Posted by Matt Pignataro

As of 12:01 PM EST last night, the signing madness started with 165 free agents.
I would say about 99.9% of Mets fans, including myself, want Omar Minaya to be the most aggresive S.O.B this side of the Hudson River during the free agency period, but patience is key for the Mets this off season.
Why? Take into affect the poor economy, things could be looking up for the Mets believe it or not. Instead of the right now 165 free agent, we could see that list grow with teams non-tendering young players eligible for arbitration.
So, what might not be available today could be very well available within a couple of weeks.
Even though it is probably hard as hell for anyone of us to be patient this off season, epecially after last season, we have to let things play out and run there course. Just be patient Mets fans, I understand it is hard, but hang in there. I know I will.
